How to train against a potential cyber attack?

Corentin is a cybersecurity specialist at the Campus Cyber Hauts-de-France Lille Métropole. He joined us for a special interview with Nicolas, one of our cyber experts, to talk about the CyberRange.

What are the use-cases of the CyberRange?

In this interview, Corentin shares how he integrates the CyberRange into his daily work. He creates content on our solution such as:

• Crisis management exercises

• Live hacking demonstrations

As a central hub for cybersecurity in the north of France, the Campus Cyber Hauts-de-France Lille Métropole supports emerging cybersecurity start-ups and fosters collaboration between public and private cybersecurity stakeholders. Their mission also includes training, by providing specialised teaching to students, beginners and technical experts alike. By implementing our CyberRange three years ago, they have strengthened their defensive capabilities and helped local companies to grow their cyber business. 

Through our solution, the Campus Cyber Hauts-de-France Lille Métropole offers immersive and personalised training paths that simulate real-world operational environement. 

A gaming interface to facilitate training

With the Infinity module, Corentin and the Campus Cyber Hauts-de-France Lille Métropole can provide realistic training through a "gamified" interface. This module is especially adapted to beginners, with a visually appealing interface, and already has pre-made content. Corentin also makes his own content, such as guided labs or other exercises on realistic systems. He can see the progression of each student through the instructor interface and choose exercices adapted to everyone's level.

The rise of disinformation

Corentin and our cybersecurity expert, Nicolas, also discussed the rising threat of information warfare. Corentin highlights the importance of our Cognitio module, a specialised tool developed on the CyberRange to train users to identify and combat manipulated information across social networks and digital platforms.
